Does good dissolution mean good bioavailability?

The answer is no. Dissolution and bioavailability are two different concepts.

 good bioavailability

In theory, the bioavailability is 100% when the drug is injected intravenously. However, when the drug is taken in other ways, for example ,oral , the bioavailability will decrease due to incomplete absorption and first-pass effects. Bioavailability is always used to evaluate the absorptive degree of the drugs or ingredient.

It’s an important property for L-Methylfolate and important tool in pharmacokinetics.

Jinkang has done a pre-clinical study in rats in order to assess the bioavailability of MAGNAFOLATE® in comparison to Glucosamine Salt L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate.It shows Magnafolate has 8.26% higher thanGlucosamine Salt.
